I bet that sparkling brand new state of the art fuel injected 4 stroke won't outpull your 500 with a carb and no power valve.

87' roller anyone?

Complete rolling chassis minus engine and electronics. I have the stock Showa shock and an Ohlins, both need rebuilding. I'm pretty sure I have an extra set of forks as well. Forks on bike work perfectly and have Race Tech springs for 170lb rider. Shock linkage bushing kit still in box. New steering...

I couldn't find anything for a CR500 on their website??? I need new plastic on the 87'.

Would you believe the manual for my 66' Yamaha YM1 says you can use 30 weight motor oil in the injector system? Crazy.

Not true. There was no modification required for my 87' CR500. Honda must have left the rubber turds off my bike.

Flat track kind of appeals to me. I hated it when I was younger, probably cause my experience with it was on a YZ100 with knobbies. Anyone wanna guess how that turned out?

Now I know what my uncle was doing. I was around 5 years old when I saw him do something like this. I guess you do what you got to do when you're in the middle of a swamp playing in the mud in an old Willys (sic?) jeep. So, what's the decision? Mig or Tig?

Actually suspension setup can make a huge difference in headshake.

What size and series is the 250 carb? The stock 500 is 38mm PJ. Either way, it probably will work fine.

I honestly couldn't tell you. The motor made no weird noises. The last moto it ran we beat the snot out of a gate full of 450s in the Over 40 class. I bought the bike, did the usual tires, chain and sprockets, rebuilt the forks and rode it. It's never given a mechanical problem since I bought it ab...

I highly highly doubt there is ZERO oil being injected. For one, thats stupid, two, why?? That's your opinion and you're welcome to it but you'd be highly, highly wrong my friend. With the clutch pulled in there is no oil being injected. The oil pump, as does the tach, are driven off the tranny mai...

My 66' Yamaha YM-1 still has the oil injection hooked up and it works flawlessly. More throttle, more oil, less throttle, less oil is how it works. You just can't pull in the clutch for a long period of time cause when the clutch is in, no oil. [ u] Coasting down long hills is a no-no as well. [/u]...

Thanks for the input. The bike was rich as you can see. It was that way when I got it. It is jetted correctly now. I probably put about 10 hours time on it since I got it and that's being generous. I've had it for about a year. Basically I was getting it running, saving money, finding parts, stuff l...
