Carb choice

Post by supermotoflunkie »

Sorry if this has already been discussed..I didnt come up with alot, I searched 'carb' and '250 carb'...a carb sticky would be cool...

Iv got a 98 parts bike (complete w/blown top end) and the 500 motor that I found from a friend is missing the carb.

What are pros and cons of using the 250 carb that Iv got?

If it plays any part...Im In Denver at about 5500ft...Im not worried about getting jetting right with either carb, Im curious if one is seriously detrimental compared to the other...

What size and series is the 250 carb? The stock 500 is 38mm PJ. Either way, it probably will work fine.

most 250s run a 38mm carb that will work fine on the 500 with some tuning.
