OK went out and pushed my bike, I can feel some drag, but doesnt skid. this is on the smooth finished cement garage floor.

So, whats the opinion on the 02 250 ignition?? i seem to remember danny's 03 being a turd but i know they changed the motor some for 03?? i still have my 250 engine and am thinking about trying the ignition before i sell it. Worthwhile??

the basket looked good when i had it off to index the kicker but maybe i should check again. it doesnt feel like the clutch is dragging bad though which is what confuses me.

Finally took the 500 out to the mountains for its maiden shitbagging... i must have spent an hour and a half over 3 days kicking the damn thing. Starts cold not bad, 4-5 kicks give or take, so not great either. upon wipeout or stall hot, will light first kick every time like nothing if you get it in...

yes the 450 seat will fit, but it leaves a bit of a gap at the bottom above the shrouds, mine did anyways. I put the gripper off my old 450 on the 250 last time out. it will physically bolt up and grab the mounts but might not look right at the bottom. this was 02450/gen 3

Finally got the airbox on yesterday, only like 3 weeks. light it up with the rad cap off and see if its making bubbles, popped head gasket could be pressuring up your cooling system and pumping it out the overflow, doesnt always leak back into the cylinder to cause smoke.

I got the 85 gasket in there, the fat one. ordered up the carb boot today too. Shes all welded up. I told buddy make it strong pretty comes second, well, its strong. ended up having to mig it, the filler for the y after I finished clearancing was a real funny shape and tough to fit close enough to make a nice tig weld, might redo a bit for asthetics this winter, for now its go...

Turns out an m10x165 bolt is really hard to come by. grade 8 3/8x7 sae is 10thou bigger diameter than the factory front bolt so im using it until the right one shows up, less slop anyways. dropped the rad off to get modded, ordered an 01cr5 clutch cable at the dealership, hope it works.

Couple other quick questions, what clutch cable works on these things?? newer 500?? and also throttle as it looks like it has a different end than the 250 did. the carb (PJ) has a 168 main in it, are these just normal keihin hex jets?? ive got from 170-185 for the 650 if they are the same, im not st...

As far as the long rod goes, ya im gonna cut the inside a bit at the corners by the flange to make sure i have the height. Hoping to keep it perfectly round on the outside if possible, it just looks nice and clean.
