It probably has a lot to do with the boots too. Mine seem to not have enough heel on them or something. I see where you can have this problem. I really don't have a solution though. Maybe some of that skateboard stuff that they stick on the top of them or the stuff for slippery steps. You know what...

slippery kicker fix?
I am not afraid of mud. I will take my bike in the nastiest crap on a dare. The problem is, once my boot gets good and muddy it becomes a real pain to kick. Boot slides right off. I have heard of putting hose clamps on the kicker and positioning the screw assy on it to give some substance to it. Any...

I haven't ridden any other 500s so I don't have a reference. It does make awe...

well I've never held any 500 pipes but mine but it definitely isn't heavy. I've thought about calling fmf but am a little skeptical about them knowing more than some of you guys, especially on such an apparently old product. It only has one ding! speaking of, I guess freezing it is out as it will al...

ID'ing FMF pipe
My pipe says FMF gold series, but doesn't say gnarly or fatty. Just says "feel the power" under the logo. What is it?

I used to use the rotella but then figured out the cheapy oil from autozone has the same additives package( read: SJ, SH, all that crap) and is a couple bux cheaper. It has to be the deisel fleet stuff, like the rotella is spec'd for, appareently it is exempt from all that mileage enhancing crap tha...

thanks guys. yeah I'm thinking I may just swap the paddle on when I hit the dunes. around here it is 3 hrs to get to the sand so can't see going too often. Especially as the tire on it now is junk so that saves me taking a good one off at least. I'm still in the 45 minutes-and-alot-o-cussing stage o...

OK next month going to dunes to put the 500 in it's proper element.(NOT doing block long wheelies for neighbors  ) I was looking to pick up spare rim to keep a paddle mounted on it. 1. what years and models interchange with my bike(1996)? Should I stay with 18" for the paddle rim? 2. are t...

OMG that is the biggest scam in the world! Any ad that is written like that is scam----color:red engine size:500 cc etc. This guy probably speaks very poor english. He is a few levels of accountability away from the actual bike itself, and will leave you chasing your tail for recourse once funds are...
