you can keep your coil, '97-99 setups work just fine, but '97 has a electronic powerjet, so there are a couple extra wires. not sure abotu the gen-1 backplate though. took like 10 minutes to modify my '03 back plate with a drill press and a 1" hole saw.

Just picked up the 99 set up.... Hope it makes a nice difference! Whats the 500 set ups going for a little re-coup of funds? :wink:

I run a complete '98 250 setup on mine, used for MX. I'll never put the 500 stuff back on. It has the powerjet hook up, but I havn't tried the powerjet carb yet. Been on my to try list but its not like it needs more power. Revs and turns like a 60hp cr250....good times! :cool:

Woohoo! I just got a full 98 system off ebay. So what would it take to set up a power jet carb? Is it worth it? Can they be bored to say.. 40-41mm?
