Are you looking to use the 92'-96' style 250 plastics ? There is a post here somewhere that shows a bike with that done to it.

usd's on an 86'

sounds simple enough. i met with my friend who will be doing my a/f frame work today and have come up with my plan of attack. press the steer stem out of my 86' tree and the one from my 99' tree. turn two shouldered reducers to fit the smaller 86' stem to the 99' trees. i think this should work just...

92'-02' kx 125 had a Electrofusion Bore. ?? in 03' they ran nikasil. it seems that the majority of early bikes ran no plated bores? was chrome cutting edge technology at the time, is that why so few used it ?

i havent checked to see if the 85'-86' cr125 ring is the same as any others from honda. the mugen kit used the factory honda piston. mine is stock 54mm bore, im gonna run an 86' piston with the single ring. 85' had dual rings if i recall correctly ?

thanks

i ran a 90 cover on my 86. went together smooth, my pipe was tweakd a bit. that was the only issue i had. i didnt run the larger clutch pack just because mine was still in great shape.

update, put the 90' cover on my 86'. brake pedal clears but the pipe had been tweaked. it needed a little help but it wasnt too bad. a clean straight pipe should clear, might need just a little help. does anyone have a 85'-88' pipe out there ? other than some minor tlc and some new sneakers it hasnt...

i did the update as well. my brother and i pulled the rear half from my 90' cr250 and put it on my 90' cr500. that, with an 04' front fender cleans up the look a bit.

hey,
anyone know if theres any companies that are offering a steel piston ring for the mugen top end ? the bore is still in great shape but it is chrome plated. or, if theres anyone out there with a ring or two ? any info would be appreciated.
