I've been offered an '84 as a restoration project.
The rolling chassis looks complete (but rough) and most of the engine parts are there. The LHS crankcase is missing and I've been told that the gearbox may also be shot.
I'm aware that the '84 was a 1-year-only model and is the only year ...

All parts provisionally sold as a job-lot.
Will re-advertise if deal falls-through.

I'm having no luck finding an original '87/'88 kickstart lever. :(
I'm in the process of rebuilding an '85 engine to put it into an '88 chassis and have 2 '85/'86 kickstart levers.
I hate the position of the '85/'86 levers as I've got to position my foot at a funny angle to avoid smacking my boot ...

The coolant pipe will hit / clash with the exhaust.

OK, looks as though I'm going to overhaul the '85 engine and use it.
I think I can remenber reading before that the hole in the swingarm bushings require to be machined-out to accept the '88 swingarm spindle???
Is this correct?

Bikes made After '91 cannot race in the EVO class in Scotland, so it's gotta be '91 or earlier ('88 / '89 / '90 or '91 preferred!).

I've just been out on the bike for a few hours tonight and my ass is stinging like mad!

I wear padded cycling shorts, but I always end up with terrible ring-sting.
I think my butt hairs are getting pulled out whilst sliding up & down ...

My good lady got me one of these last Christmas.

They don't stock the EG at my local supplier.
How long (typically) should a plug last if the motor is tuned (Jetted) correctly?
I've not had to change one yet and I've had the bike for around a year now.

Possibly the UGLIEST gas tank I have ever seen in my life ...

It all depends on the piston & cylinder wear and the required tolerances.
For example: You may need a new piston, but the cylinder bore shows very little wear and is still within tolerance, so you wouldn't need a re-bore.
