2000 steelie back in action

Post by britincali »

Got her done and buttoned up this morning, I ran her round the block a few times to bed the rings and so far its good and strong

I had to pull the 89 clutch out and swap it for the EBC one from my toast motor as it was slipping like crazy, but its good to go now!

I like the way this GSS motor feels, it still has low down grunt but pulls a lot harder on top.

The 89er looks pretty sad and raped now

right on dude. looks sweet. that should light the rear tire up on the pavement. if ir dont something is wrong. i had a few more mods when that cylinder was on my machine but it should be just as good for you. i fiddled with my ignition alittle, eliminated my air box for a high flow k&n, cut the reed stops out and had some carb work done. theres still a few more horses left in that combination on your bike

right out of the gate i used a 220 just for kicks. ran real good up to full throttle but couldnt get it to clean itself all the way out on top. dropped it 200 with 105 oxy fuel and it ran good after that. keep the airfilter real clean. you need as much air through there as possible. sounds like your on the right track.
