x2, the early jugs had a longer reed and diferent shaper intake that can interfere w/ newer style pipes. just make it fit!

the only difference w/ the SH pipe is it has different mounting tab locations.

i hope the later motors arent as bad.. I really like the gnarly on my bike and didnt like the pro circuit much.. I think the squish was off for the PC and the bike ran like crap.. id rather stick with the fmf if at all possible but may just have to get the head modified for the pc. and have the jug modified as well :P Hellooooo Loomis and $$$$$$..

fmf pipes fit, either something is wrong with this particular pipe, or something is wrong with where it is being mounted. I have 5 different FMF pipes, and the only issue I has was with a '86 jug.
If it really is a '92 motor, then like I said, wither the pipe is tweaked, or it is getting lined up wrong, like the rear is getting pushed down too far.
to tell if the jug is '89+ or '85-'88... the '89+ has a different side boss for the front 2 and rear 2 mounting studs, the '85-'88 they are the same height front and rear. or, even easier to tell is the water inlet is at the rear above the intake on the older ones, or at the front on teh newer ones.

the vforce reed on my gen-1 got in the way while installing the pipe, so I trimmed the little tag deal off the side.
