Nitrous WOT switches

Post by britincali »

After having major issues with the switches sticking on I decided to go looking for an alternative, I found this 3a one at radioshack that after 3 rides and being in sand a few times is still working perfect.

The thread size is not the same as the ones I got from slomas, its a little bigger. The hardware store had nothing close so I used a drop of 5 ton epoxy and glued it into the throttle housing.

Heres some diff switches I ordered to try...

The one with the biggest spring of the lot next to the sticky one I was using, also had an audible click when you hit it....

Better pic for the part #s...

I ended up removing the plastic push part and shortening the switch untill it was flush with the throttle housing when WOT and activated.

Works bitchin so far and hopefully no more soiled shorts due to nitrous being stuck on :D :D :D

The one im using is bigger than the sticky one, but you can really feel the amount of pressure it takes to compress the internal spring. I think its a ton less likely to stick due to a bit of sand.

Here some pics of it in the throttle, I know the heat shrink is ghetto looking but it was the only piece I had big enough to go over the switch.

No problem- It's a Tyco 103-C switch.
They now call it a CO, I'm assuming the O stands for normally open.

Do a search on the net and you should be able to get them for around a buck apiece. I can't remember the suppy warehouse I got them from though...
