I've got an 8 paddle and get around just fine. I suppose a 10 or 12 paddle would give you that much more sand to throw for a nicer rooster tail. :3g:

With 8 you will get more wheel spin. Go for 10 or 12. More for hillclimbers.

Common rule of thumb
125 = 6
250 = 8
500 = 10 or 12

I ran into a guy at Skat Track with a 450 having one made with 9.
Seems like most 450's I see have 10.

Only about 1/4 of the paddles touch the ground at any one moment..

Think of a 10 paddle as a 2.5 and a 8 as a 2.

Pretty close.

Paddle condition can mean more that total count as far as traction is concerned.

One thing is for sure.... sand is FUN!
