Removing Flywheel

Post by JakeBoucher »

The Flywheel on my 85 CR500 has a little corrosion I would like to clean up. Pulled the nut off and obviously it didn't come off with a little tug. Anyway, where do I get a puller or what I need to get it off? Can I just buy a bolt with the correct threads, or would that be hard to find?

You need a flywheel puller.
If you try anything else, you will be sorry.

Where do I get the Flywheel puller? I looked on a couple sites and they don't carry one for the older models.

I ordered a whole kit full of pullers on eBay.

All you need is the 27mm puller for CR's.

Any motorcycle shop can order you one.
