The sin would be to get rid of the CR500 engines not buying a 4 stroke donor. :D

SWEET!
When it blows up all you need to do is stuff a CR500 engine in there and you're done. :D

It's a Toyota Hilux Surf.
Japanese import, right hand drive, and has a 2.4L 4cyl turbo diesel.

Aside from that it also has the IFS cut off and a solid axle swap done, as well as a
rear leaf spring conversion instead of the factory rear coil spring set up.
Detroit's in the front and rear diffs with 5.29 gears, 35's, blah blah blah blah blah.....

Now that is  !!

How did you get that in Canada? Or are imports not as controlled as they are in the US? We used to have a "gray market" Mercedes back in the 80's - was an absolute PITA to do anything with.

As long as it is 15 years old, we can import them here.
This model happens to be a 1990.
RHD's are getting pretty common up here.
I paid around $10,000 for this one in minty stock condition with around 55,000 miles on it.........then another pile of $$$ on extras. :D

It looks pretty capable! too bad it wont become mainstream over here...did some quick reading - found that 97 was the best motor...something about cracking cylinder heads.

I am all too familiar with the cracked head.
I have upgraded it to a 3L cyl head, new rad, water pump,
and put a huge exhaust on it.
It's no speed demon....probably 85 horse at the wheels, but all kinds of torque.
