need a little help with air box on 02 conversion

Im almost done with my 02 conversion but the last problem i have is the carb and the air box boot are not even clos to connecting the carb hits the shock sping so im not sure what u guys do to fix this but if u can help that would be great..and the motor is a 88 thanks.

I am assuming it is an 02 CR250-125.
Danny said to use 89-01 carb to reed manifold, that will stop pushing the carb towards the spring.
If it is a CRF450 I don't have a clue, sorry
Also what air box boot are you using, if it is the 02 CR125-250 it should be fine.

sorry yes it is a 02cr 250 thanks for the info i will get on flea bay and get the parts.

with the right intake boot in the motos side it should basically bolt right up. Tighted the motor side, and the air boot will be slightly angled with a little more lip hanging over the top of the carb and not enough over the bottom. just push the carb up a little so the boot lines up properly and while holding the carb, tighted the clamp. after being held like that for a while, the boot will conform and the next time you pull the carb, it will go back in like oem.
