That's a clean conversion. What's up with all the airbox snorkles?

One of those trial and error deals. I ended up using the "magic" 00 CR250 boot--17253-KZ3-J20. Should have known better because I had already used one of those on a prior Gen 2 conversion.

So, does that boot just bolt up or do you still need to do some modification to make it fit?

About the only thing I had to do was to cut out the '02 airbox's airfilter "bridge"----that thing that the wing nut threads into.

Then I used the '01 and earlier inner/outer steel ring afair. Much better filter sealing.

How many of these have you done? Are the pics you posted the bike that I currently have? I gotta find that question mark sticker, can't find it anywhere Rob said the high pressure washer blew it off :(

I studied the old thread on the other board because I almost got a '03 125 instead of my '97 250. But the vin was scratched off the 125 and they wanted more money for it. Plus I feel better not buying a stolen bike.
Awesome write up and pics by the way

Hey Brett, glad to see you over here. Good group of guys for sure.

Yeah, so far I've done 3 conversions. Got a little write up and pics of each on my crappy webpage: www.cbpu.com/morgan . The thumbnails to the left will get you to a few pics.

Just can't bring myself to doing a 4th one yet---think I'm whimp'n out. Must be a gland problem. :)

BTW I hand cut the "?" out of vinyl--not too hard.

Take'r easy--and get out there and romp on that bike!
