Move over, suckers....
Move over, suckers....
Well, I'm building.... Just got my roller...
"2004 Honda CRF250X, not running ( rod hanging out of case) and has no rear rim, $1200.00 OBO. at least $1800.00 worth of parts on the bike if I were to part out. Make me a reasonable offer and the bike is yours. Kevin"
( Not actual bike, but close..he faxed a photo )
I got it for $1k. Can sell the blown up motor for something ( Starter Good, exhaust, etc..etc..) Actual roller will be pretty cheep!
HAS CALIFORNIA GREEN STICKER, lights, and battery set up!
I got to get a new rear wheel, I want a ( wider) 18" anyways...
Should make a sweet A/F conversion!
Kenny, got any of those frame rails ready?
Major changes from the 2004 CRF250R Model:
• Larger fuel tank for greater range (2.2 gallons including 0.4 gallon reserve)
• Sealed battery (centered above the airbox)
• New frame tuned specifically for off-road work, not motocross tracks
• More compliant and supple suspension components front and rear, for a plush ride over rocks, roots and whoops
• Revised linkage ratios for the Pro-Link rear suspension system
• An improved, wide, soft "Saddle" type seat for long rides
• A new lightweight slim-line headlight, plus a very small and very light-weight LED taillight
• Sidestand added

Well, here she is.....
BOOM!!!!! " Honda 4 strokes scattering themselves is a myth....."
You can tell allot about a bike from the rad's..... Whats this shot tell you?
This thing is so sweet, I got a toothache....
Too bad I have no time to start the conversion, until after the Keenedy Meadows trip.....
What do you guys think? Worth the $1200 bucks the dude was asking? I thought so and paid the guy $1300 which blew Britincali's mind....
Good!.. Perhaps he will stop being the cheap bastard that he is....

Good, I'd hate to see a blown motor with a Amsoil sticker on it.AlisoBob wrote:Well, I'm building....

More compliant and supple suspension, Umm ya, that'll work with 300lbs. LOL Bob.
Ergos? For your size I don't know man, I still have to make an effort to sit up on the tank more in corners.
But hey, its still a good find.

The wheel wasent originally part of the deal...
Two of these changed his mind...
The bike complete was $1k. The wheel was $200...... I paid him $1.3k.
He's an old CR500 guy ( 90 to 95 he said)..Gave up riding for 8 years or so... got back into it with the 250X... Was stoked I was dropping my 500' into it.
He said the whole time he had his, the only maintenace was " gas and tires"....
Yup.

CLEAN. WAY TOO CLEAN. There are good deals out there to be had. Lets keep the cr500 chassis for jack we can put the 250 motor in it for him! I cant wait to see it in person, how about friday? We can use my motor to mock yours up, so you won't have to mess with your bike for the next ride.. What way we wont have to wait to get started on the conversion. let me know on wed, and i'll start pulling my motor out. I haven't been this excited since we had ribs at rob's house(hi rob) Joe!
