How the hell do are you able to run a motor long enough to do that kind of damage? must have been towing it from Lulea to Malmo (thats like Eureka to San Deigo in Sweden)

I suspect it had been overheated AND over revved.
I posted about a FAIL, a Banshee rod ripped from the crank, the piston was in itty bitty pieces and mostly powder.
We put it in a paper cup.

probably had 35 thou piston to cylinder clearance
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

I agree.... with this much trash falling into the crank.. its going to lock up.. quick.
Something seems screwy...
Its not like a V8 where you have 7 good pistions still driving the shattered one around.

That thread is crap.
Look at the exposed piston ring in the photo. NO WAY the circunfrence of that ring matches the bore size of a CR500.

It is nice to learn that you are such a CR500 expert Alisobob
. However learn some swedish (or use Google translation) and read the whole thread at soe.se.
The thread started with the title: "Chain is touching the rear tire"
No fake,,, what would bee the point!?

"bullshit" = "Skitsnack" or in an academic term bullshit would be more like "tjurskit"
Perhaps we have more oxygene here in scaninavia that makes our CR500 rev higher with more power as an ad on. This can lead to material exhaustion!!
I bet you yankees can´t seize an engine like this! First one to prove me wrong wins a Happy meal at MC-Donalds in Säffle!!
A litle prank there,,,,, but it really is a genuine breakdown. Read the whole tread there is more pics in there.
