Gen 1 AF roller for sale!

Post by britincali »

Converted 1997 CR250 roller for sale with everything you need to bolt your 500 motor up and ride! $1000 obo

2005 CR450R Forks/triple clamp (rubber mounted bars)
2005 CR450R shock
Works connection rad braces and frame guards
Protaper fatbars
Cycra probend brush guards
IMS pro series pegs.
Procircuit dogbone link
90% tires.
Billet headstay.
Registered untill jun 11 in my name with clear title in hand
Modded procircuit platinum pipe
FMF turbine core silencer
Aluminium skidplate.
Freshly recovered seat.
UNI filter.
Damn near new 49t rear sprocket
CR500 18" rear wheel, with larger gen1 rotor.

Bad things (just to be 100% upfront)

It needs fork seals and or bushes, I had new seals and oil installed last year but they are weeping again.

I was going to rebuild the suspension link sometime this season, its definatly time.

Plastics and barkbusters are scratched to shit.

The procircuit pipe is fuked, its cracked and dented. I personally just weld it up every now and then but im including it with the bike so the new owner can either run it or just use it as a template to get mounts welded onto their new pipe in the right places.

Any questions call me @ 760 217 0553 or email christophernewsham@msn.com

Things NOT INCLUDED in sale that are in pics.

Motor, carb, kicker, shifter and electronics.
Throttle.
Steering damper and mount.
Magura clutch.

The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...

What year engine is the bike set up for? I.e., short rod or long rod.
'88 PW50 - Connor
'03 YZ85 - Zach
'88 CR500R
'05 CRF250R (to get a heart transplant soon)
'10 Hot Rod Go Kart

Straight swap for 89+ motors.

Currently has an 87 motor with a newer sized rear motor bush installed.

Only real differences between a short rod and long rod motor would be the headstay and the intake manifold boot.

ill have to holler at DMV and ask them how it works since there will be no motor in this frame.. i had mine all tore apart and had to put it back together for inspection/title..... was really simple but kinda stupid it had to be together....

how flexible are you on the price ? i would just drive up and grab it from ya unless you would be willing to meet half way...

do you use a CR500 pipe and just weld new mounts on it ? havent read all the threads about AF mods cause never figured i would ever own/build one... i have a new GNARLY that i really like on my steeley.... :D[/b]

When I titled this bike it was easy, just had someone at DMV verify the frame and new engine #s and your good.

Im flexible on price and if the price is rite willing to meet you... Call me....

Use any stock pipe and just relocate the brackets/mounts on the pipe. No bend changes are necessary.

im actually not after a dirtbike .. im doing the motard thing.. my 92 is up and on the street now.. this would just be easier to get OEM parts for and look 100x better...
as for the DMV youre in cali, im in AZ. .. rules are a little different here (i can put my dirtbike on the road you cant :D )
let me find out what DMV says and ill let ya know...
thanks

water outlets in stock head OK ?

PWK bolt in place ?

airbox modded ?

cr500 coil work ?

just some things i seen doing some reading that i noticed had to be changed on other AF builds....

If its an 89+ motor its bolt and go.

Theres a splittler included to accomodate the 2 port head (use your stock hoses)

PWK will bolt up fine.

Stock airbox is fine on the gen 1s.

Has an installed CR250 coil that you will just plug into your ignition.
