How to make a CR1000 at Home?

First you start with a 2 cylinder Honda
Magna 750?
http://salem.craigslist.org/mcy/2053859215.html

Then you Adapt the Jugs and Pistons,
from a CR500.

Will it Work?

Those with a Milling machine and Lathe
Knows for Sure.

The four stroke bottom end will not work. A good bet would be a billet case and use a snowmobile crank. But then I'd rather just use the whole sled motor in a custom case to hold the tranny. The port layout in most modern sled motors is way more advanced than the CR5.

The 747's fuselage 250 feet
Maximum takeoff weight 975,000 lb
wing area is 5,500 square feet
Maximum speed Mach 0.92

at 35,000 ft altitude

So...

It is possible,
for a Bus,
Larger than most Houses,
which weighs a Million Lbs,
to Fly at the Speed of Sound.

Now do you Think,
it is Possible,
to make a 2 stroke Engine,
fit a 4 stroke Trans,

???

Your animation sux.....

Quote: "Unfortunately, some of the fresh fuel mixture is usually expelled as well."

Thats a positive in a two stroke as a well designed pipe will return this expelled mixture, providing a supercharging effect.

I have seen a Harley Davidson bottom end with two YZ490 top ends on it, apparently it was legit... A Harley engine has a seperate trans though and does not share engine and gearbox oil. Im not sure how they seperated the two crank cases though, possibly with a labyrinth seal like on any other multi cylinder 2-stroke.

The engine you chose though would share engine and gearbox oil, so you would need to fix that, and then come up with a way to put transfer ports in the top of the cases to match the cylinders (lots of welding and machining). you would also need a custom crank shaft and even more case work to get labyrinth seals between the two crankcases. after all that the volume and shape of the crankcases would probably be all wrong and would run like a pig.

of course it is possible. A guy in Australia has succesfully counter-balanced a CR500 for use in his quad. The same guy also cuts up old air cooled 250R motors and rotates the cylinders forward to make custom lay down engines for his ATC70's...

what you want to do though is totally impractical and a huge waste of time, seeing as there are so many other better ways to make a CR1000...

and yes you are annoying!

A Magna 750 is a V-4

That is the least annoying thing in your thread.
