Is this something new, or has it been like this since you got it?

I ask because while my 500s are fast, they don't feel like they rev out like my 250 or even the 125. It's just the motor makes the power earlier and lower.

If its a new issue, I'd check your silencer packing, and repack.

Well went for a z50 trail ride last night. It was a blast, bike worked great just a few bugs still Number one is the low pipe. I don't think I can live with it for even play riding around. I was hearing it ping off rocks every two seconds. I definitely need to gear up a bit as first isn't usable. Th...

Yea 1 st is useless. I'm 14/37. I think a 15 tooth countershaft would help 1st. Even with the 2" stretch swingarm it just wants to wheelie. Except for the lean bog I hit when I crack the throttle. gotta jet that out ASAP. The exhaust is a little overkill but I'm growing used to the look of it a...

The forks are Brand X minis chromoly lower tubes +1" with HD springs and Delrin bushings. About $100 off eBay for the Kit from brand x minis in Ohio. they are for a crf50 so the brake assembly needs to be swapped to the other side and a longer cable used (I also used the fork guards from a crf ...

Yup It's a part you can't buy separately

a 250 or 125 collar would work also.

Or as I said. Get a new one cut on a lathe. Would work just as well.

Unfortunately it won't be what you need

Best bet would be to get the piece/pieces and get a local machinist to make you a new set. The smaller the shop the better for price usually. And I mean It's not exactly brain surgery to turn one of those on a lathe out of a chunk of steel or stainless.

Lots of people have modified the wiring harness to relocate the cdi and parts.

Soldier and heatshrink. I like to use the heat shrink with the adhesive sealant that seals as it shrinks.

The air box is a popular choice for location.

Looking at the contact surface of the motor mounts I'd say it was loose and allowing vibration and movement. Looks like the motor has "rubbed" into them.

Did you use a high grade bolt, loctite and how tight was the fit of the motor in between, was it shimmed to take up any gap?

Pull the motor, pull it apart and go thru it, water pump weep hole leaking oil is just a seal and a possible worn shaft, unless you build a new motor from a new pair of cases then you still won't nessecarily know what shape it's in, so you may as well rebuild and sort out what you've got. As for cas...

Could be exhaust spooge from the headpipe manifold, a new OEM gasket, a cleaned out pipe joint and a bit of high temp RTV should help that.

A guy I know had the animal power conversion (it's the billy bee honey bee shrouded gen3). I haven't seen it up close, just some photos and my pet peeve is the 90* sharp edge square tubing used to redo the cradle.

I just don't get why when the radius edge is easily available.

My local club has been planning on running 3hr endurance ice races like that, but we haven't had cold enough steady weather to freeze the lakes around here. They had 4 Sundays schedualed to race. But I'm doubting they'll get even one in.
