I called cpi and said they would have to send a pipe with out the rear section welded for me to rotate and weld . My bike is a 87 so do you guys think just by rotating the rear of the pipe every thing will line up. Seems a little to easy. My motor has 200* and 130* timing so is there another pipe th...

have 87 want newer forks

What year of tree and forks, and what bearings and what else to convert to like a new 450 or 250? Should i stay with a 500 set up. My forks are toast making a loud popping noise and oil pours right through. I think i would be money ahead to update than to sink $200 or more rebuilding my old junk.

pvl ignition

Anyone run pvl ignition on their 500? I use them on my drag banshee's and like them. I thought this would be an alternative to a cr250 ignition thats getting harder to find.

Im thinking about drag porting or a (liger cylinder),drag pipe, 50mm carb on alky. I tried a shearer pipe off a quad and holy crap what a difference. It had to make at least 10...

kehin dosent make a replacement seat. If you get it you would have to rob another one out of a different carb. Either buy a gravity carb or put a fuel pump on it.

I got like 6 39pwks from polaris snowmobiles. All wont work i dont see how a artic cat would be any different.

They got the brass choke adapter and angled down fuel inlets. And i believe 6.O slides.

No the needle and seat is way smaller. Pull the drain plug out and hook the fuel line on it. It will barely piss out. It wont even get out of first gear and it will run the bowl dry been there done that.

Pull out the float out of both carbs and look at the seat orifice. Then you will see what i mean.

I bet those carbs wont work with a gravity fuel system. They are set up for a fuel pump. If your fuel inlets are angled down they are for a pump set up.

Its in a stock 87 cr frame so angled. Upp makes intakes for cp industries cheetah dm cylinders (cr500pattern) so maybe they would make a few for us bike guys? Why 3 power jets? I really think the biggest restriction is in the exhaust port flange area. Im trying a bigger flange and opening up the flange area to a saber size flange.
