the first thing that failed on 3 of the 4 gas gas bikes my buddy nick had was the 6spd trans, next was crank bearings. a 200, a 250 and a 300, one 250 was just rebuilt when he got it and it lasted til he traded it in.

did they notice any differance in performance before failure and approx how ...

I am pretty sure the distance the timing tab on the flywheel is off is equal the distance the pickup coil is off from a cr250

there is a possiability that would be true, I am pretty sure i did try all the 125 pieces together and it was the same but I may wrong.

I tried heating and bending the early style for a 4 wheeler once but it needed to much bend to it and it was a failure.
I ended up using a steel kicker from a xl600 or something like that.
The steel is much more willing to bend

I have twice had to flush a motor out while away from home in order to run the rest of the weekend.

Both times I used a self-service car wash and flushed with lots of water.

Volumn is what will get the small particles out, then since I already have premixed alcohol in the trailer I finish flushing ...

below is the Krizman KS-650 that is the basis for turbine style spark arrestors.
Krizman patented these back in the 60's I believe.

The 125 stator is actually a nicer piece, theres no mid harness, so its hardwired from pickup to the CDI plug. Very nice. and they're been reasonable $ to get ahold of.

roost are you talking about early year 125 stators my 2000 cr125 is just like my 250 but the rubber seal that gets squeezed ...

weight is the same, it is a noticable differance for throttle responce at lower rpms

Ok I did a little closer looking at my 250 and 125 stators
The stators look visually the same as in the pickup location and mounting of the 8 coil stator but the reason it does not mount on my cr500 is because of the location of the rubber seal that is sandwiched between the cover and the case.

the cr125 flywheel and stator would have to be used as a matched set if it does work.
The flywheel is clocked differant because the pickup is mounted in a differant location and it did not seam to work real well with the wire routing so I have never tried running it.

Kelsey from RK Tech is a pretty sharp guy, got to know him probaly atleast 10 years ago on MacDizzy when that was a great site.

I know he use to own cr500's but have not used or really know anything about his head.

You are not "advancing" the stator.You are reindexing the stator plate to retard the position of the pulse generator in relation to the crankshaft (which advances the timing)

Actually roost boost works as designed just not as perceived.

Roost boost is installed in the pickup circuit and will normally give about 2 degrees of ignition advance. But does nothing in the way of more power to the spark plug

If your spacer and 1 gasket equals 5mm than your port timing and cylinder head squish will not have changed.
Don't worry about the extra crankcase volumn it's no different than the 87-01 motors.

BTU's is the answer

your motor runs on the amount of BTU's you can burn creating a stronger push from the expanding gases.

Alcohol burns at a higher fuel ratio thus allowing more BTU to be expelled and creating more power ...

the pump is a margin of safety thing especially if you do long WOT runs.

But I do know allot of people that run without them but then they are only 75.00 and run off the vacuum of the motor so they are easy to hook up.

the 44's are allot cheaper than the 46 48 and 50's

and most guys will do fine ...
