Has anybody put a 96 cr250 airbox, side panels, and rear fender on a 500?? It sure would help the aesthetics of the steelies. Or...even better...a 92-96 cr250 rear subframe, if it bolts into place.

I'm curious to why people do the frame like this. Cut the whole thing out, then extend it 2" from a motor mount on the bottom. Bob, Mike, anybody want to chime in? I don't see how this is easier than just getting out the bottle jack, or just dealing with the "Y" by itself. Not bashing, just wanted ...

I'm with Danny and G3. Make a .060 alum plate for the boot to mount to, and rivet the plate to the original airbox, with fender washers on the opposing side so the rivets can't pull through. I chose .060 because it was what I used for panels on my first sandrail, and it's easy to shape.
