Does anyone know if the stator cover from a Cr250 will fit the 500?? I am using a 92 motor and have stripped the cases and I want a gray stator cover to match. Anybody done this, the 250 covers just seem to be a lot cheaper. In a word no. I brought a 250 cover for my 500, the top two holes line up ...

I'm ashamed to say, due to a new job & other commitments, the bike is on the back burner at the minute so i've not ran it up yet, got to modify the fuel tank to clear the plug & cylinder head bracket. I just checked i had a spark at the plug.
