CR500 Engine Jig
I have a like new CR500 engine jig. We used this while building our CR500 conversion. This jig was built and then the holes were drilled on a CNC machine for exact location. You can use this jig to weld up your new 500 engine mounts and when you're done the bolts will slide right in with perfect ...

Actually, I think the 05-07 CRF450R is one of the easiest and results in the best balanced bike. I didn't even have to mod the underside of the gas tank for the spark plug and can change the spark plug without pulling the gas tank. Also, the bike is slightly larger and results in a more comfortable ...

Well, I've been riding this bike for just over 1 year. I've gone to a 120/100x18 Maxxis Maxx Cross Desert Intermediate Terrain rear tire. Wow, what a great tire. My brother and I were working our way up a canyon wash when we came up on a 12' rock ledge. It had a small step in it, but looked pretty ...

Carbon Fiber pipe guard for FMF pipe
I finally found a CR500 carbon fiber pipe guard. ELine has discontinued their carbon pipe guard for the CR500. Couldn't even find an old stock item. The aluminum "fits all" pipe guards did nothing accept add some weight. The rock dents went right through the alum guard and into the pipe.
I just ...

You should also look at the JD Jetting complete carb kit. He sells a new Keihin 38mm PWK Air Striker pre-jetted with spare jets and needles for $245. Pretty good deal. If you purchase a new Air Striker and it comes with the wrong slide, jet, and/or needle, you will spend more than $245 getting it ...

I went with a Keihin 38mm PWK Air Striker. If you are only interested in peak HP, then the original PJ works fine. The problem with the PJ is it is impossible to tune out the off idle lull/dead spot. If you want seamless throttle control without the sudden hit, then the Air Striker is the way to go ...

These are life savers. I cut up several radiators to get these.
I recommend changing the CRF inlets and outlets to these 90 degree fittings. The original CRF inlet on the left is a larger diameter and the CR500 hose does not fit. I also added a new inlet to the right side radiator so I can route ...

I had an issue with the fuel lines kinking. This was caused by my turning the fuel tank bottom fitting rearward to clear the spark plug. I elected to turn the fuel tank fitting rearward rather than heating and deforming the bottom of the fuel tank (this was to clear the spark plug). The OEM petcock ...

I’m interested in your experiences with carbs for the CR500. My OEM carb starts easy, but has a "4 cycle spot” from 1/8-1/4 throttle and then a big hit when it goes into 2 cycle above 1/4 throttle. It’s very difficult to tune out during the summer heat ...
