so it looks like it could be just an 89 bottom end with either an 86 or 87 cylinder and head. I guess I dont understand how that would work. The way I understand it is; if I were to get a newer cylinder for my bike the cases would need to be machined for it to fit. How does this work in the reverse....

You definitely want to get the right size....there are a lot of PWK's out there and people dont know what they have. I got mine from a person selling it for a 95 KTM 200 or 300. I called the local KTM shop to see what carb they came with. 39.5 PWK. All I had to do was get the correct needle and jets...

I found this on ebay out of GB. Has anyone tried one? I asked the seller what the output was and a couple other questions and they havent gotten back yet. It should be some good output for that price though....maybe someone over there can give them a call and ask. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....

Can anyone fab some of these up?

I have tried to get some of these and my wife actually placed an order with them and canceled it cause we never heard back from them. I need a set for my conversion with a 20mm axle...even steel would work great.

That’s when I figured I had a screwed up unit from the manufacture, my old unit also came with 2 wires that where switched in a connector block. So you think you can use the stator? You do know it takes a complete different flywheel & backing plate right I am sure I will only have a replacement...

I see, and the ruined rotor one has the 6 bolt pattern which are hard to find rotors for.
I might still be interested if you want to part with it.

I have 5 or 6 rear wheels now and the only wheel that would accept the 4 bolt AF rotor was the 2000 wheel, like you said all the others I have are 6 bolt rotors and wont mate up. Gotcha...so take a 500 caliper and put it on your conversion...then you'll have 5-6 wheels rather than one. I am looking...

It also looks like the right side cover has a the coolant port going straight up rather then angled back. Shows it has an 89-93 side cover. 89-newer kicker. 86-87 cylinder and head (black) Frankenstein motor... It's been screwed with more than monica lewinsky.

i dont know if you are still confused on the wheels brit...but here is the skinny. I have been using my 500 wheel (with the short rotor) on my conversion...and the 97 250 wheel as my paddle. It was ruining my brake pads as you can imagine. MTneilson and I switched rotors (my tall 250 one for his sho...
