Thanks amigo! The pipe was sitting since and helped free up enough cash to rebuild my YZ250 motor so I can get back to spinning laps in the fall. Thanks agian for the kind words. I still have the 84 CR500 head/cylinder and the 83 CR480 head/cylinder for sale. That money will go into parts for my 500 ...

I Have a DG Pipe for a 1984 CR500 in very good conition. Less that 1 hour on it and a 1983 CR480 cylinder and head in good condition. I bought it as a only having 1 bore on it but I never verified it and the project I bought it for never panned out. I greased the cylinder to keep it from rusting ...

After finaglin' the cases in this frame I am having a hard time figuring out exactly how I would attack this. I have been looking at othe conversions and 4t cradles seem to have more room and it is more moving the "Y" than anything. When bolted together at the swingarm pivot it seems to be lined up ...

YZ250 piston question
I did a topend on my 250 a few weeks ago. Rod felt good up and down but a good amount of side to side, I was told this is ok? Just making sure.
Ok my real question. When going through this motor I was in a hurry and did it in a dimly lit area. I know better but it is what it is. But I finished, she ...

Asteriod: That would be awesome! But shipping from Aussie would be expensive. If you are serious, see what it would cost to ship to Eligin Tx and I'll pay shipping.

I do like the round silencers better, but this FMF one is starting to grow on me. Doesnt look too bad, and I am about to have to tighten my budget up so I am going into the "Just get it done" phase. Here are some more pics. I like to do a little and then stand back and look at it lol.

Thanks for the replies! I have still been working on it as much as possible. I'm modifying the steering stops to work with the different triple clamps. I also scored a GSXR steering stabilizer that should work no problem. I was looking at the side of the bike and I'm that with the changes in the ...

More progress pics, seems the closer to getting done the longer it is taking. I am missing all kinds of little specialty bolts, seals and inserts for the brake stay. Pain in the ass, gotta get a big list together and leave work early and head to fastenal sometime next week. Did get the new steering ...

Like I said, I don't understand a lot of this information but I think it should work great for my application. I am planning on using some led enduring fog lights for head lights (2) or maybe one on all the time and a second for "high beam" an led brake/running, and a small led for the license Plate ...

Cable operated choke for PJ
Has anyone ever seen a cable operated choke for the stock PJ Carb? I was going to run a bar mounted choke lever on my tracker project. I thought I remembered seeing this setup on Baja 500's for letting off the throttle after long wide open sections. I will eventually step up to a pwk, is there one ...
