I'm glad guys are getting their stuff back. I've never met one guy on this board in person, but 99% of the guys on here seem like bad ass dudes that I'd like to sit down and drink a beer with.

Some of the ski resorts here in Utah have things like that. One is a fiberglas track and you sit on a a big skateboard with brakes. It's damn fast, if you don't use the brakes you will fly off and eat shit.

Take the tab and throw it over your shoulder. Get the need to file out of your head. Pick some amount of advance or retard. Tighten stator bolts. Ride and see what it does. Adjust if nessesary.

It appears you have a later model shaft already. The '85 has a metal gear not plastic. If the seal is not leaking around the shaft why mess with it?

Bored carb?? The slide isn't "windowed" is it?? That would make it lean at all but WOT, it would be leanest at low slide openings. I had a pj punched out to 41. It was worthless for all but wide open. It had a 58 pilot I think and it still only idled sometimes...

Am I wrong in thinking these moose filters you are using and/or your oiling method is the problem?? I use Uni filters with the Belray blue pour on stuff( like a lot of members here recomend) and a good bead of grease to seal it to the box. They will flat out clog up and the bike not run for shit ...

I've had filters look WAY worse than that, and not a speck went through. Granted it ran super rich and shitty until I got back to the cabin. But when I swapped it out the boot and inside of the carb were spotless.
