what year ignition??? are you using the 500 coil or 250 coil, i no around 1999 to 2004 ish honda had a shit batch of coils, its says in my eric gorr motorcross handbook, but i cant find it right now to find the exact year
maybe if you have an older 250 setup you can run the 500 flywheel and stator with the 250 cdi
i dont know for sure tho

the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.
