2-stroke WFO limit?

Post by M.F.D.B. »

A long while ago someone posted a research article where they showed the life expectancies of different 2-stroke motors based on how long the pooled lubrication in the crankcase would sustain WFO throttle. Anyone remember or have the link?

never seen the article but seems like a monumental task to test all the factors that would be involved. must of used one particular motor, with one brand of oil, at one particular mix ratio, at one particular atmosphere condition. imagine if you mixed in different types of oil, different mix ratios, different air conditions and altitudes.... the results would cover a book 100 pages long. not the exact info your looking for but kind of
