. Story goes like this...Guy owes my buddy money, he doesn't have the money but does have a 1986 CR500.
My buddy takes bike in leiu of cash. My buddy has really bad arthritis and couldn't ride the bike if he wanted to.
My buddy needs some help with landscaping his yard and I want a bike, win win.
The bike is tore apart in my garage right now.
The forks need to be rebuilt (the parts came with the bike).
New levers & grips (came with bike)
The swingarm needs to be rebuilt ($75 for the pivot works kit).
Seat needs recovering
Plastics need to be cleaned up.
Frame needs touch up paint.
Basically there has been a lack of maintenence over the years so I am going through it to make sure it is safe. I look forward to learning all I can on here.
