How to relieve bridge?

Post by blackz34 »

I know we should relieve the bridge after an oversize, but what do you use to do this? And do we absolutely need to do the scallops too?

Thank you.

I would recommend using a mild stone or sanding drum on a rotary tool like a dremel. You can also do it by hand with a file or stone but im waaayy to lazy for that! The scallops just make it easier to kick, unless this is important to you I wouldnt waste my time...

I bored mine out to 90mm when it had a good stock hole to get rid of the scallops.

Me too...but i regretted it later. I would have rather been able to do all those top ends since now im almost time for a re-sleeve...

aluminum sleeve/nikisil ? . considering they last 3x longer than a steel bore it might be the last top end you do.
