frame finaly welded together

Post by asteroid500 »

It started with lots of stupid questions on this site,
thanks to all who contriputed.

Then i made these with the help of Stuey

Then over many mounths (new job / a move of house / bike and car racing) i finally dumy fit the motor in the frame.
I made spacers in the same OM style of the CR250 donor.
I placed the spacers in the freezer over night then when ready to fit to the motor i heated the cases with a heat gun then slid the pivot bolt
through the spacer and taped it in.
it went in very easy.

then it was off to the engineers for some spot welds.

After spot welds i took the motor out and just checked by placing the bolts through the mounts that they were all square and true.then full welds.Image

I recon it looks factory enough, and after x-mas i'll be back into it and away we go.

Looking good, and it will be done faster than if you sent it in to TeemTrouble. :D
