dude, I didn't know you were in town! I'm gonna be at supercross tonight!
Vegas seems awesome if you stay on the strip, but if you venture off into the city, especially north las vegas, or to freemont street and beyond, it sucks.
as far as stupid people... the highest percentage of dumbasses I'm ever met in my life. I had never even heard of people who couldn't read until I moved here.
I plan on moving out of vegas before Seth starts K next fall. the schools are 48th in the nation... that is out of 50

so the city that we seen on TV the strip,the casinos,piramids,the mini

Eiffel tower,the belagio fountain,etc,etc.... is only a showcase

and hide thousand of broken lifes few streets away...

Nevada is the 48 in the rank or Las Vegas?Reno seems different other

kind of people,i never been there that's because i ask

sometimes magazines ,internet,press,TV.... show the people

a distorted reality

i always though this kind of cities are cold and frivolous because if you

don't have money you are out of the game or the hi life ,and if you have

some money

you'll be a victim because all the people are loking for your money

hell, this was my face book post yesterday, to give you an idea:
Saw a crazy bum living in front of the dumpsters to a billion dollar casino... You know, I'm normally a mod-right libertarian, but I can't help but think WTF, when I see this crap. I saw a guy crying holding up a "homeless" sign later, was dressed up like he could have been a union pipe fitter a couple months ago and probably was... Makes me wonder how this happens In the US of F-ing A in the 21st century!

driving down water st. in henderson and behind the shops, on teh other side of the fence there are people living in houses that were temporoary housing during the hoover damn build. then have chunks of corugated metal and tarps draped over the roofs with duct taped trashbag covering busted windows. next to then you actually see houses made out of cinderblocks and might be 500 sqft with a whole family living in them. but you can drive over to the next block and find million dollar houses in gated communities. The neighborhood I'm in now is really nice, but a quick drive down the hill is the ghetto. Its just not the place where I think I should raise my kids.

sure, like anthem is really nice, I live in green valley and used to live in silverado ranch, those are nice mid to upper mid class areas. My buddy dan lives in pittman and its kinda trashy, but mostly white trash which I get along very well with

Mountains edge in pretty nice, also mid-upper mid.
the nasty areas don't have names

but like with most metro areas, find a street named MLK and you better have a gun if you're gonna walk around there.

all of the streets named after trees off lake mead and boulder and nasty. those are some more OOLLDD houses where you find washers and dryers in the front yard next to a late '70s nova on jack stands. alot of 13" daytons around there. although henderson is primarily white. most of the hommies live in NLV. MFDBs inlaws are a bunch of NLV cops and they are busy to say the least.

yeah been here since tuesday morning 17 hours of travel we were at the palms resort for 3 nights we are at the mirage for 2 nights got a show tonight ray ramano and brad garret at the mirage got tickets to the supercross tommorrow night one of bubbas 2010 yzf450s was on display at the mgm lobby got some close up snaps of that been to the grand canyon and hoover dam taken nearly a 1000 photos my little laptop will melt down if i try to upload them hopefully im going to catch up with the ledgendary brit this weekend and if you want danny pm me your details

and yeah we have seen a bit of what danny is talking about i dropped 10 bucks in a tin for a lady that had a sign that read bad situation anything helps not a old lady my age and she looked as if she was going to throw herself off it she thought it was a dollar till she pulled t out it made her smile 10 bucks well spent

x2, thats why I haven't been. plus the first plan was a hug clear platform, now they made iot that horseshoe shape with the huge beams...kinda lame if you ask me.

All this is about looking down into a big canyon / bloody big hole in the ground. They are actually hanging off the side of the canyon at the top.

The first one is a sky walk, it's a platform that gives you the feeling you are walking in the sky because it feels like there is nothing around you other than the safety barrier on either side, also the glass bottom lets you see how far down it is.

Check out the photo where he is sitting down on the glass walk way. I hope this sort of explains what you are wanting to know

The second was meant to be a "hung" clear platform now they made it that horseshoe shape with the huge beams.

Basically in was intended to be a clear / see through platorm hanging that you could see through the bottom of it.

They must of change their mind and went with the design of a horseshoe / U shaped walk way with a glass floor, supported with HUGE steel beams.

I hope this helps, just look at the photos again after reading this and it should make sense.

from vegas we drove to la mad traffic made the drive twice as long as it had to be spent five days in la checking out the sites did a hollywood tour yeah paid cash for that to from there we drove to san diago to the zoo for the day from la we went to anehiem for three days went to disney land today what a place ive never seen so many peolple in one place at one time

The reason they charge out the wazoo is because they got hosed on the deal and needed to come up with some ways to make money on it. The guy who bankrolled it negotiated a deal of a century where he makes crazy money on everything, like the chinese "native" souveniers in the shops to bookoo money from chinese junket tours. shortly before it opened the tribe realized, oh shit we are making pennies to this guys dollars. I live a few min from the res and work there(on the res not the skywalk). was cool to be one of the first to go on the skywalk before it opened to the public

went to the car show at the anehiem convention center today you guys are so lucky the coct of a new car is so much cheaper here than back home a full size gmc truck for under 60 large they run 130 grand a 2010 subaru wrx for 26000 they are 60 grand in australia it shows how much tax we pay at home
