250r Clutch basket?

I have a complete Hinson setup including pressure plate, inner hub and basket for a 250r. Does anyone know if this setup will work for an 01 500?

I have been in the garage screwing around, the plates, inner hub and pressure plate are identical and are interchangeable. My question is the basket. it has a different pinion gear, how do they come out of the center of the basket? pressed?

Also the 250 clutch basket fingers are about 1/8 of an inch shorter than the stock 500 basket, not sure if that will cause any problems .

Anyone know for sure?

i'm thinking it will fit, i'm real sure the gear on the back of the basket needs to be changed to a 500, the hub spline and stuff is the same, BUT
ya its narrower.

I ran a vortec basket for a 2000 250 that a local shop had on the shelf, installed it on my 500s hub and gear + used it in a stock '88 case but had to lathe down the oil dam rib at the base of the basket and honed .003" from the bore of the hub after it was installed cus the pressfit was excessive, not that it didnt fit over the bearing, but it had drag and you'd feel it in the lever, never blued it or roasted the bearing, but after a while i'd had to change the center gasket and did it while i was in there.
