88' Case Bushings

Post by searcher415 »

What is the best way to bore the rear crankcase bushings. I read they need to be bored 2mm over. Can you remove them from the case and put them in a lathe? The engine is going in an 2001 cr250.

you can pull the bushings out of your take out 250 motor, then drill the 500 housings w/ a 13/16" bit and tap those 250 bushings in, that what I did on my gen-1

Maybe a dumb question but what's the best way to get the bushing out. I don't really want to break anything.

I used a metal rod. there is a gap in the middle between the 2 bushings, then just tap from the otherside some heat would help too.
