Sounds good; I'll be loking for you guys. I looked around the site and checked out some of the tech stuff: I did the radiator check, no cold spots The guy I bought the bike from had some other nice machines in his garage, he was an older dude like me (I'm 38) so I'm confident he took really good care of the bike after talking to him and looking it over closely. After taking it for a ride I felt good about buying it
The bike has had one top-end rebuild in it's life but has not been bored out
The hoses and wiring all are in excellent shape and the plug looks new too.
I noticed when starting it's got tons of compression ( I had to re-learn the slow two prep kicks to get her to TDC then follow through from the top again after talking to Hammer)
I can get her started with one kick while it's cold so that's cool.
So far everything on the bike is checking out okay. The sprockets & chain have a few more rides left in them before I need to change them. I did notice he was running Renthal sprockets. I have not had good luck with them in the past, my 650 wears them out quick and I'll bet the CR is going to chew them up faster since I ride everything I have like I stole it.
I am going to pull the carb off and check it tonight, if it's like the rest of the bike I'll be happy with it.
The only thing I have found so far that I want to change out right away is the stock Rotors and brake lines. It's got brand new EBC pads on it out front and out back.
I love the difference that Galfer braided lines and wave rotors make with the stopping power so I am going to get a set for the 500.
