Hangin it up

Post by JBaze »

Not many of you knew, but I got wiped out at work about 5 years ago. My knees and hips are pretty much destroyed. After I lost all my weight and got back into shape I thought I would reward myself by getting back into riding so I did. Anyway, I have been having alot of pain in my legs lately, so I got checked by my Ortho. I am due for replacement, problem is I'm 36 and they won't even consider it until I'm 45. So if I don't restrict "what ever" I am doing I'll be in a chair by my 38th as of right now. Meaning 1-I of course didn't tell the guy that put me back together that I was riding motorcycles and 2-my lower extremities are basically worn out. So with that, tonight I sold my AF to a kid who will really appriciate it and TeamDNS (Ryan) was sending me a set of Pro-Tapers to try out, that I will be sending back. I was hoping for a little different outcome. I am keeping my 650L for the time being, but I mostly just ride that on the road anyhow. But as long as everyone is cool with it, ( I don't have to say anything), I will be hanging around here because this is the best place in the fuked up world to be. And provides plenty of smiles and laughs. Thanks everyone. Jason.

I'm real sorry to hear that. A year and a half ago My back went to shit . The surgeon said my back looked like I was 45 and had lived a hard life(I was 28 then). I know my weight isn't helping either. I hope I never have to hang it up but I have slowed down alot.

Thanks again everyone. I don't want a sympathy thread though, the biggest reason for letting everyone know is because the kid that bought the bike will probly pop up on here because I told him too and there's no point to make up some BS story as to why I had to get rid of my AF and because this "Banned of Brothers" don't really keep anything from each other, good or bad.
