got a reply she said the kick starter spring is busted. Now I gotta decide if I want to go to palmdale tommorow and spend $300 bucks I dont have.

The spring probably isn't even busted, just needs to be stretched or put back in the hole. I had to do that to my 86 at least twice a year.

You'd have to make some changes but can get it to work in that Gen2 just fine...If ya can, hang on to that roller. But be warned - Danny Graves bought his 1st (an 86) and it was pretty well clapped out. Remember the saying "you get what you pay for" -- So inspect carefully.
The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...

It's real tempting but I can't spare the $300 bucks right now
