Old School Look

Post by mike hunt »

I'm trying to make my AF look old school. I'm looking for a blue seat cover that resembles the 1986 model. I'm hoping to find a company that produces the retro seat covers for my CRF 450. Thanks

There was a guy on ThumperTalk that put Gen3 plastic on his Gen2. Wouldn't the Bailey kit would work then?

Ya that looks cool - but I'd have to change all my plastics, tank, and airbox to get it to work. Too much work IMO. And I'd have to heat the tank to get it to fit as well - already running an IMS 3.2. But ya, the Bailey kit is THE kit I would love to have.

not a chance, its still in box sitting on top of my blasting cabinet, it would be easier to walk off with my '89 motor than that kit without me noticing

I saw a picture on here recently with a crippled David Bailey riding a bike. It was set up with his old school graphics, as well as some strange roll bars or something, but what was really trippy was the forks. They had a set of upside down forks on there, but also had a pair of the old fork boots stuck on them to make them look like the old forks he used to use.

Easy to explain man,he puts the old fork boots he used to ride and the old look from the 80's like the new YZ-YZ450-250 F's have an old school look in yellow-white and black
