Ok now is as good as time as any to start posting my build.
I started this project with nothing so I needed the 500 donor, looked around a bit and found a pristine 1994 CR500 local to me (Ohio), turns out the guy liked guns so all the better for me, I traded a couple of AR-15’s and the 500 was mine.
A few pics
Soon after getting the 500 home into the garage (the next day) it was time to start de-constructing.
I have a lot of fabulous 94 steelie parts to sell, everything except the motor / electronics / carb , ( I will try to get these posted asap).
Then the jug and Head went to Glen for trail port work (the man is truly an artist).
More to follow

I was thinking the same thing. Shit, I'm almost thinking about going back to a steel frame since my '04 is just collecting dust which a $2.5k bike can do just as well.

Why's it doing that? Shit I'm just a couple hours away and ride every weekend. Don't make me come to your house and drag you out, cuz I'll do it
I'm leaving for a little bit, hopefully be back in a week. Better have the '04 ready...
the '94 you got is a nice looking machine and you got hell of a deal. saturday i missed a good 1990 by just hours, dude only wanted $800 so im still pissed about it . probly some clucker on this site nabbed it , but its all cool

No shit!!! Robert put down the crack pipe bro, you got the ride you always hoped for; RIDE IT
First of all, it's not crack it's meth........J/K Ok, ok, I'll knock the dust off of it and go ride next Wednesday (less people there). That'll give me a chance to hit the spinner a few more times, not that I need it as slow as I am.
Been a while, thought I would update the build….No bike yet, haven’t heard from mike in 3 weeks.. Hope everything is ok.., over the last 9 months I have bought a couple of exotic parts that are going to look really nice on the supermoto. Can’t wait to do and post the rest of the build.
Rick, that polished frame is ungodly, has it been powder coated yet? I see you started this thread on jan 21st, (6 months ago) is that when you did your deal with Mike or was it before that?

Yota, Paid Mike for the conversion 9 months ago in the beginning of October 2008, soon thereafter ( less than a month ) sent him much , much more $ for new Go fast parts pieces. I have been trying to call/ e-mail him with no results for Three weeks, He finally sent 2 e-mails on the 13th saying he would call right away……. Still no call as I type this , early am on the 15th . As for status on the build…. I assume the picture Mike sent me of the frame leaning up against the desk is mine, the last update he gave me is was that he was prepping the frame for powdercoat on 5-4-09.

I left Mike a VM a few days ago to call you, after we spoke on the phone.
