			The temp will depend on jetting, but at 1200F it will turn a steel pipe blue and burn all the oil in the pre-mix. I think I read that in Eric Gorr's book...

			I have a egt (digitron) guage on my 431 cc trx, the probe is positioned 6" away from the exhaust side of the pistion skirt.
