anybody have a clue what the temp is at the exhaust flange?

If it doesn't take the meat off your leg instantly you need to rejet it

The temp will depend on jetting, but at 1200F it will turn a steel pipe blue and burn all the oil in the pre-mix. I think I read that in Eric Gorr's book...

I have a egt (digitron) guage on my 431 cc trx, the probe is positioned 6" away from the exhaust side of the pistion skirt. I jet the top end to run about 1150-1200 degrees wide open for a good long straight in its top gear

The Pismo stuff has healed long ago I'm healing from Snowy trail still.
