Sounds too good to be true, I wonder what the reserve is?

It does sound to good to be true.
If it was purchased for racing why does it have a desert tank?
How many of the aftermarket parts were purchased after '97?

Just a couple of things to think about

Good point! The tank could have been for off road but why put it on if your not going to ride. RC was still riding 125's in 97 right? He had not at that point made a real impact yet let alone to have handle bars named after him. Maybe I'm wrong.

I was looking at that bike last night and thinking, why would someone never ride a bike, but put all these aftermarket items on it? What was wrong with the new rear sprocket that it had to be replaced with the Renthal that is on it in the pics?

The guy probably should have written "Hardly Ridden" instead of "Never Ridden".

Look at the side of the kicker and clutch cover. Zero scuffs from boots. Huh. Either way, i'm not buying it. Maybe Robby Kneivel will buck up for it.

A person could build 2 AF's for that much, or 1 AF with a zero hour motor. Although like Tony said, there are no scuffs so who knows.

Bad shit happens to people all the time, I could see an unriden bike still around. Example: Late 70's my old man p/u a 69 z28 camaro w/ 385 miles on the speedo - long story short, guy purchased the car got shipped out to Vietnam and never came home - family hung on to the car for 10 or so years and finally decided to sell it. Anything is possible.

Just like there is a new 500 at a dealer over in Hawaii somebody posted up as new in the showroom and it's a 2000 or so. Bet there are more hidden elsewhere for those who like to snoop around.

the dealer would of fired it and rode it through the parking lot, and id bet a million bucks someone burned it down the drive way after purchase....but it is nice bike. theres '07 rm250 on ksl that has like 5 min run time on it....dealer rode it through the parking lot to make sure everything worked, guy took it home for his wife but the bike was too big so its for sale.

wish i could. they want close to 10k for it. if i was rich you can bet your sweet ass i would own it. but it is far too beautiful to ride and fuck up so why own it. i couldnt bring myself to get it dirty. if someone really wants it i can ask what they really will let it go for.
