Biden = Asshole

Post by AlisoBob »

WASHINGTON - Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden said Thursday that paying more in taxes is the patriotic thing to do for Americans.

Biden said:

"It's time to be patriotic ... time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to help get America out of the rut."

How the fuk is Americans paying even more taxes going to help out this country? People can hardly feed them selves as it is now. I just don't see the solution as taking even more money from us. How much is enough? On the other hand, and I will vote for Mccain, that Palin does not know her ass from a hole in the wall. Hope he doesn't die.

The tax and spend behavior is consistent and to be expected. The playing of patriotism card is particularly offensive. There is nothing un-patriotic about questioning your governments perceived right to your money.

Both parties want to distract your attention from the ugly reality that in the last year 8 years government spending grew twice as fast as the economy that is supposed to be supporting it. Now we are spending 20% of GDP, and only taking 18% GDP in taxes. We are borrowing the difference which leads to inflation, a lower dollar and an indirect tax on your income and savings. The answer of course is to reduce taxes, reduce spending (more), and let the economy grow without artificial stimulus. However you need a spine to deliver that message and the electorate is in denial.

Sad part of your statement is that an abundance of the voting populace doesn't have any idea what that means.

There ought to be a "Voting For Dummies" book.

I had lunch with a friend the other day, They work in the emergency room in Santa Ana / Orange Ca. There was an INS van parked out front. They were having a Inmate / prisoner / illegal treated. (For free I'm sure.) For hours as long as that van was parked out side they wouldn't come in. As soon as it left it was a mad house. Go figure, Can anyone say FREE HEALTH CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The country is being run like a teenager with a credit card who hopes they'll get a great job and pay it off sometime soon....

...and you and I are like the parents who get to step in and "help out".

True dat.

While were on the sub, here is the Donald Duck cartoon that Disney produced in 1943 charging the Gov $800,000. Back then it must of seemed like 8 hundred million. However the Gov complained that it was to high. Disney's response was that 800 hundred grand is a drop in the bucket compared to what you will be taking in.

Boy was he right. But now we know how our parents were brain washed into filing and paying. :x

You want to tell the capitalist GIANT AMERICA to stop spending? Brilliant Idea!!!!! That will surely work, given that the average American household is over 8,000 in credit card debt. I am sure some of the hoons here are there or worse. the tax that Biden is talking about doesn't apply to folks like us, its for those in the highest tax bracket. (Excuse me, but i don't think that the guys riding 8 year old motorcycles, read Cr500 stopped being produced in 2001, are at risk of feeling additional tax. we may actually have more ride time! that is if the Military doesn't annex our riding areas. Johnson Valley and Sunfair dry lake are on the chopping block now, what's next?

Ya right. Like the rich are going to tax themselfs.

Collectively the people can tell the gov to eff off. If the fear is no longer there. Individually we are nothing more that a piss ant to be bent over and raped.

My argument was that the Government needed to spend less. Every dollar the government takes from you in taxes is one that you cannot choose to spend, save or pay-off debt with. If you think the Government is better at creating economic opportunity for all, or that they are going to do something about personal indebtedness, I would argue this needs more thought.

Now you may be making the "soak the rich" argument. But noodle on this. Their money in government hands, is also money that does not get spent to drive the economy, does not get invested etc. etc. Reagan worked out that lower rates of tax on the more wealthy actually lead to higher overall tax returns. (This is called the Laffiter effect.)

Do you ever buy things from stores? Food, clothes, fuel, furniture, ect...?

Naw...the NObama/NObiden tax hike ain't for you. Don't worry about it.

People confuse liberalism with statism - the pursuit of bigger government. Both parties are guilty of the latter.
