So leaving tomorrow to go race in Fernley and was curious if anyone has riden there and did you have to jet the bike. Going to be warm and I usually don't ride above 2500/3000. What do you guys think? Thanks
Thanks Iggy, the track is real sandy so RPM's are going to be high. I have jets so if need be I might drop the main a little, I have a 178 in it anyways which is fat on it's own. I think last time I went up above 4000 I actually fouled a plug but we were trail riding and lugging around. Guess we'll see
Hmmm.... There's a sandyish hill thats about 5000 on that ride and I'm at 172. So one or two sizes smaller should be good. But remember this motor is ported but I think its more for low end than top.
Will do. I don't know if I have a 172 and 175 but I know I have a 168 and 170. I always thought the 178 was big, this is a stock motor with a 39 PWK. Starts, idles, and runs fine so.......... thank God for practice. I am going to eat some four strokes for lunch. "Is that a 250?" no kid it's a 500
I would jet it. I just got back from Hull Creek 6000 feet and I did not jet my 500 and it was too fat. I have a 180 main and a 52 pilot so yeah I would drop her down a couple sizes. As I wish I did but she ran ok with the as 3 turns out but not how I like her
