THURSDAY (AUGUST 21)
4 p.m. (ESPN): Latin America (Coquivacoa Little League,
Maracaibo, Venezuela) vs. Mexico (Matamoros Little League,
Matamoros, Tamaulipas)
8 p.m. (ESPN): U.S. Southeast (Citrus Park Little League
Tampa, Florida) vs. U.S. Southwest (South Lake Charles Little League, Lake Charles, Louisiana)

The World Series then moves on to the Championship Weekend:

The only baseball I even watch any more is the Little League....they still play for the love of the game.

I'm sticking with this pick, but I want Hawaii to win. Mexico is just so tough, I could see they were the best team from the start.

It's a far cry from the 70's when team China had 16 year olds pretending to be 11 and 12. I remember watching as the 6 footers from China threw 85 mph pitches to 5'2" whiteys. It was nuts, no wonder they dominated for so long.
