Found these old magazine bike test pics from the 70's and early 80's. It took me a while to post all these
and put as many as I could side-by-side to save space......
.I tried to put them in the Bitchin Photos Only section, but for some reason they didnt go there.......Enjoy !!!

Too Cool!!!!

I added them to the Bitchin Photos sticky...

Is it me, or were photographers better back them? Those photos really capture the speed and movement of motocross.

Todays photos are too well thought out I think, and clutters with a well place sponsor hay bale or banner....

Those photos you posted were shot with love.

Nice, really gives me a nostalgic feeling. And I noticed something, there is one thing 95 percent of those pics have in common. It's that Bell helmets ruled motocross, that's why I still buy them now. :D

Saddleback, De Anza, and I think Indian Dunes.

I think at one time I had that mag with the RM vs CR 250 shootout. They said RM was better so I went with that.

Yeah photographors today, I keep telling to zoom out. There always cutting off your head or wheel. The whites of your eyes is fine once and a while but sheeeee's.

Purity of what it once was. I saw some of the rebuildable Scott boots and some Hi-Points too in those shots.

Great photos and I can say I remember many from the original magazines. I have a pair of NIB Scott boots in my garage that are too pristine and rare to wear. This is the 1979 Elsinore I should be racing...

Those pictures are great, reminds me of the pictures I have seen in old dirt bike magazines. My uncle John Desoto was in quite a few, not sure if you all know who he is. I believe he was inducted into the motorcycle hall of fame in the past 10 years or so, maybe a liitle longer than that. Anyway, great pics...

I met his dad when I worked at honda along time ago. Hell of a nice guy.
