PC FMF tech Q....
Ya ya its been covered, but here's my take.....
I thought the PC was better at horse power. FMF for torque.
PC maybe being better for hillclimbs. FMF maybe for track.
I'm considering get a PC cause the FMF has turned into a Frankin pipe. Maybe cause its six or seven years old and is fatiged to where it can't handle the vibs anymore, or the rubber mounts have woren to let it vib more causing cracks. I dunno, but its mounted much better with new rubbers and Robs black RTV. We'll see how long it holds up this time.

Maybe it's your bottom end letting you know it's about that time? My original PC cracked from day uno. Weld it up...crack, weld it up...crack. It would crack about every 5-6 rides. After I rebuilt the crank that never happend again. Even the crack I hadn't yet welded up stopped growing.
Which reminds me...I've got said PC pipe in my garage now if you want a cheap one. It's free

Also don't buy plated pipes the reason is simple... The plating is much harder and brittle than the base material and expands and contracts at a different rate so it is more prone to crack much faster than a Works pipe the aftermarket manufacturers have been plating them for so long people think they should be...wrong. Almost all OEM pipes are bare or painted 2 stroke or 4 stroke. Learn to maintence a Works pipe it'll last much longer. There are other factors as Mick stated and in that case it doesn't matter what pipe you choose to run.

Ive never cracked a pipe once. Smashed a few, but not a single crack not even just in the finish. Plating looks bitchen and adds 40% power increase. Thats why im so fuggin fast...
