Yes.
I couldn't get the 500 boot to work at all, after I grinded the frame and
pushed the 500 boot as far as I could towards the carb before it touched the
shock there was still a 1-2 cm gap. I think I have tilted the engine a little bit
more than normal.
I didn't want to use the 450 boot because of the restricted airflow, so I made
one in alu. Maybe I do another, little bit cleaner, if I have the time.

it looks like it will do the trick for i sure...i don't know how some people got the 450 boot to fit, i heated it up until it was melting and i still ripped it....Airbox is the only thing holding me back...your conversion looks cool... Oh and how did you get your brake lever to stop rubbing against the clutch cover?

I just bent the lever with a hammer. I also replaced the steel end of the pedal with aluminum one.
