I'd buy the used stuff. It's better than new since its been broken in and "seasoned." The guy is just trying to be nice by saving everybody the trouble of paying outrageous new prices then having to break in and season their own stuff. Cut him some slack.

i disagree, seasoning is for engine blocks, not pistons, if you used it in the same motor it came out of ,sure it would work great, but every engine is different. the heat is in different points as well as the forces upon the structure of the piston. it would be just asking for a crack if the piston was put into a bike that was jetted way leaner than what it came out of .

I always use seasoned pistons, but only AFTER I put them in my vise!

One thing I've started doing is filing down the exhaust side. You can never have enough bridge clearance with them Wiseco's!
